In celebrating art and community, we have teamed up with historic Hudson Valley theaters to bring you live shadow cast performances of cult classics. Join us this April at Rosendale Theatre in Ulster County, presenting a whole new experience of Phantom of the Paradise!
Phantom of the Paradise is a 1974 American Rock Opera film written and directed by Brian De Palma. The story is a loosely adapted mixture of The Phantom of the Opera, The Picture of Dorian Gray and Faust and also briefly references Frankenstein and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. Initially, it was a box office flop, but the film was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe and has since acquired a significant cult following.
The film is rated PG, however the performance includes adult language. Not recommended for those under 18 years of age.
